Discover the Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble “Olympic”, the very first retro of one of the most coveted colorways in the history of the 95. Originally created in 2004 for the Athens Olympic Games — the cradle of the ancient Games — this pair had not been seen in more than twenty years. Most of the OGs still in circulation have become unwearable over time, which makes this return all the more anticipated.

The upper faithfully follows the 2004 recipe: a base of white leather and breathable mesh over which the five colors of the Olympic rings are layered — Varsity Maize, Chile Red, Classic Green, Photo Blue and Black — spread across the side panels in synthetic leather and the nylon lace loops. The design signed by Sergio Lozano in 1995, inspired by human anatomy, takes on its full meaning here with these multicolored layers that trace muscles and ribs along the foot. On the tongue, the Greek flag adorned with a golden wreath recalls the host country of those 2004 Games, alongside the Air Max logo in Metallic Gold. The same gold appears on the embroidered mini Swoosh at the ankle — a nod to the gold medal.

Underneath is where the update counts: the transparent Air Big Bubble units bring back the wider sewn-in format of the era, the one Nike used in 2004 before switching to a more eco-responsible process. The white foam midsole and the black rubber outsole with a waffle pattern complete the whole.
