MIN-NANO founder Goro Nakatsugawa shared the story behind the shoe on the company's blog, revealing that there was no specific theme or narrative guiding the design. As a die-hard ASICS fan, the goal was to create a simple, less athletic-focused shoe that still embraces current trends with a neutral color palette of gray and off-white.

This edition reflects a modern and clean approach, marrying the retro influences of the GEL-NIMBUS 3 upper with contemporary elements from the GEL-MC-PLUS V model. The design contrasts the retro influences with the GEL-CUMULUS 16 shoe's structural system, offering a silhouette that is both classic and innovative. Materials used, such as premium full-grain leather and cashmere suede, ensure durability and optimal comfort.

Nakatsugawa added his own twist by incorporating a wider mesh and a geometric pattern that extends from the quarter to the heel, bringing a unique and artistic dimension to the Nike Gel-Nimbus 10.1 x MIN-NANO.
